Dragonball Info Link

I’ve been a bit mystified and confused concerning most all things popular, including Dragonball. I’ve enlisted the help of others trying to understand the appeal of what’s, well … appealing. This site gives a great rundown of many of the concepts surrounding the Dragonball mythos. Thanks to Johnathan for both the link and putting up with my million and one questions and for trying to help me understand.

Dragonball like Bleach, Superman, Harry Potter etc. are all concepts that have captured the hearts and minds of children around the world. I’d love to know how I could even attempt to do that.  Even in the smallest of ways.

  1. Read the original manga and all shall be revealed. Quite litterary so.

The original? How many books and where would I find them?

  3. When published in sweden, it was 21 books in black and white, and I bought them from the local bookshop. If you ask around, I’m sure you’ll find them.
The site you pointed at is focusing too much on the powers and makes it look like something Rob Liefeld would have created. When one reads the original comic, it mainly strikes you as charming and loveable fun, a bit like Bone, which then slowly builds into a tale of the final battle between good and evil – the demon Boo and the hero – and how there’s forgivness to be found even for the most wicked among us, even though there’s a hefty price to be paid for it.
