Election Day.

I love voting. I love being a part of something as big and as wonderful as the U.S.A. even if I'm a small, iddy-bitty unimportant part. Like the Vice President. Of course, I also hate voting because I hate having to actually DO anything. Especially if it involves me standing in a line. I've never done well playing with others or being told what to do.

It's a beautiful day outside. Really nice. A great day for voting. I voted. Did you vote? The answer had better be "Yes." I'm going to assume that it is. Of course, I am apparently assuming as well that you're an American and can vote in our Presidential election. If you're not, please don't vote. That would only mess things up and they're bound to be messy enough as it is. Who did I vote for? None of your business. It's enough to know that I voted. I'm a patriot. I'm a super patriot. I'm a proud American. I love this country and don't care what anyone else, anywhere might say. If they don't love the good old U.S. of A. then they just don't know what I know. Pride is important. Whoever you are, wherever you are, be proud of who you are.

I expect that Obama will win and I hope that he turns out to be the greatest President this country has ever known. After all, I do live here.

It's too bad that we don't elect our President based upon the popular vote rather than the electoral vote. Now that we have the technology available to do this, it probably should be done. At least considered.

It's too bad that so much cheating and voter intimidation goes on. The office of the President of the United States is probably the most important office in the world and the thought that people would even consider cheating to get their candidate into office is repulsive.

It's too bad such a large part of campaigning for public office involves money. People can (and do) literally "buy" their place in office. Winners are often based more upon the money a candidate has, and can raise, than by their stance of issues.

What a world. What a world.

The read-though proof should be done by the end of the day today. So I'm told. Fingers crossed. Once that is done, I'll see about giving you a peek. Won't that be so cool. I know you're all a twitter. Try to calm yourself.

I may head down to South Bend tonight. I may head over to Kalamazoo tonight. I may drop by the Warrior Buddha's tonight. I may do a lot of things and I might do nothing at all. That's just the way I am.

I weighed 158 this morning so the diet is going well. That's only a gain of three pounds since I started. (I am in so much trouble.)

...

That's it. Go away. Vote if you haven't. If you have go bug those who haven't.
