Right writing.

Where have all the great writers gone? Television, movies and comics have never looked more beautiful. They "look" fantastic. Just imagine if these purty picture could me meshed with fantastic stories, concepts and ideas. Especially when we're speaking of fantasy.

I have been on a rampage watching a ton of television series from both the US and the UK. I've seen some bad, some okay and some fantastic but almost all of them have one thing in common. They didn't make it and were canceled after as little as a few shows or at most a few seasons. Anything new, and unusual (and great) takes time to find it's audience. What it really takes is time for people to "get it". Meaning, time for those who are intelligent enough to "get it", to explain it in "easy-to-understand" terms to those less intelligent. Truly great ideas take time and when it comes to entertainment, it's the bang out of the gate that counts. Sometimes it seems to be all that counts.
