Why is it that dead people have all the best quotes? What is it they know that those of stuck in the (so-called) living world don't? Winston Churchill was a man just chocked full of great quotable quotes. If you need a fantastic line to steal, he's you go-to guy.
Speaking of great quotes (not really) ...
I love Science fiction. It's my all-time favorite genre simply because it's the best and I don't just say that because I do SF I say it because it's true. You may disagree but then you're probably often wrong and I forgive you and like you anyway (well enough). I love SF because it can (and does) encompass everything; Drama, comedy even musicals or spirituality. SF can be a space opera or time-travel, parallel universes or alternate realities, corrupt governments, mad scientists or alien invasions. It can be horror, war, western or detective. My favorite kind of SF (to read, see and create) is subtle. Take the world as we know it to be and give it a little twist.
I can find the SF in anything. I'm serious. Cartoons? No problem. Dairy Queen commercials? I can do it. Photos from your last family reunion? Easy. Trust me SF rules.
Speaking of how great SF is (not really) ...
This is cool:

This is the cover art from the book "Everybody's Dead" from IDW. Which of course begs the question ... Why isn't IDW publishing MY work 'cause ya' just knooow they wanna'. That's the real mystery here. It's creepy. It's alien. It's ... wait for it ... sci-fi. (See? Told you.) Those silly, silly people over at IDW. I'll bet they've never even heard of me. I feel safe in assuming this because I didn't get a Christmas card from them. I'm sure if they knew I existed I'd have gotten a card. Probably a really nice gift too. Someone should tell them. I like cake.
Not really. I don't like being told what to do or how to do it. I'm arrogant. I'm a maverick. A lone wolf. Flyin' solo. That's me. Flyin' solo lone maverick wolf. I also have issues with authority figures and I don't play well with others. I do like cake though. Presents are cool too. Tell them that.
Come to think of it maybe I should be thinking TokyoPop? Have you seen the size of the manga displays in books stores these days? Then again maybe we should just jump to Paramount or Fox? No. Universal. That's better. They've got all the coolest monster designs. 'Course they don't actually do anything with them but maybe, maybe they just need a little "nudge" in the right direction?
