Boiling frog syndrome.

The boiling frog story states that a frog can be boiled alive if the water is heated slowly enough — it is said that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will never jump out.



I can't help but feel that something is coming to an end. I look at the economy and the state of everything around me and in my own life and I have to wonder if "things" aren't slowly working their way to some drastic, perhaps catastrophic change. An end of some sort. The sad thing is that I suspect there is little we (I) can do about it. It's probably already too late and has been for quite some time.

No. I'm not bummed or depressed, I just feel this way. Whatever, right?

I'm tired but hope to go home and be productive and have a quiet night. Hear that! QUIET! Maybe I should turn off the phone, grab a book and forget that the water is feeling awfully warm? Maybe.

I'd post something more relevant but can't think of a thing. I'd post some art but it seems like too much effort today.
